Terry is known for her “patients first” practice, for listening to patients, and for understanding their concerns. Her vision is that of high quality, service driven care. She holds dual board certifications in adult health and adult acute care, both from Arizona State University. She started her nursing career in Canada, and continued her education here in Arizona as of 1982. Terry does not believe in having a desk between a patient and herself, so she doesn’t. Terry puts people at ease and assures that they understand well enough to choose the treatment and therapy that works for their life situation. She is also known for Juicy Fruit gum interventions, successful peer reviews on a patient’s behalf, and both common sense and quick humor. Terry makes sense of what does not make sense, and she can show anybody why it now makes sense.
Terry was also diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea a year before she underwent aortic valve replacement in May of 2020. She uses variable pressure therapy via nasal pillows and wakes feeling terrific.
When Terry is out of the office, she is out finding a new road with her husband and one of three dogs who take turns on road trips. She grows fantastic tomatoes, beets, and artichokes, and she loves to cook. Terry is quick to make friends with the local animal community including Howard the hummingbird who demands a shower every morning. Terry and her husband have three dogs: Wesley, Lucy, and Ikon. Ikon is our part-time office dog, and you may meet him when you are in the office.
